Meet Sarah Hart, our Community Engagement Intern

IMG_0088.JPG

Sarah has a background in education, and has spent the last five years working in museums collaborating with volunteers, schools, and organizations to design and implement museum programs. She first became familiar with the WDRC when the Whatcom Museum teamed up with the WDRC to train docents and frontline staff about how to handle conflict in the art exhibits.

Sarah was excited about the many ways the WDRC is involved in the community. From art museums to the justice system, from relationships between spouses to relationships between businesses, this holistic view of community peacebuilding resonated with her, and she knew she had to be involved. She is so glad to be on the Community Engagement team, and to be learning about the collaborative and creative work at the WDRC.

Sarah is originally from New Mexico and moved to Bellingham from Denver just over a year ago. She still cannot believe how much water there is here! She loves to ski, hike, and run, and spends most of her time listening to public radio.
